Our beliefs

The bible

We believe the Bible is the written word of God, it is without error in original form, and has the greatest authority for humanity in life. (2 Tim. 3:16)

God

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Isa. 9:6)

Jesus***

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atonement on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven at the right hand of the Father, and His pending return to deliver and judge the world. (John 1)

Holy Spirit

We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who empowers believers to live a faithful and righteous life. (Romans 5:5)

Sin

We believe that all have fallen short of God’s holy standards and are condemned without salvation. (Rom. 3:23, 5:6)

Salvation

We believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. (John 14:6, Heb. 10:10, 12-18)

Baptism

We believe in water baptism by immersion. We believe this is a sacred rite that is done upon the repentance and confession of faith as an appeal to God for a clean conscience. (1 Pet. 3:21)

Lord's Supper***

We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a sacred rite that Christ is present at and is taken by those who have professed faith and been baptized. (1 Corinthians 17-34) We take the Lord’s Supper weekly due to the historic Showbread (Ex. 25:23-30; Lev. 24:5-9), and we see the followers of Jesus breaking of bread on the first day of the week. (Acts 20:7)

Heaven***

We believe that through Jesus’ death and resurrection we will dwell in a new and eternal home in the presence of God. (John 14:1-6; Rev. 21)

The second coming***

We believe in the final judgment of humanity at the hands of Jesus. (Rev. 20-22)
